Fire hazard is a growing risk in the automotive industry. We have seen many vehicles getting recalled due to a damaged component that can lead to a fire and the latest is with the Jeep Compass and Patriot.
Both vehicles were recalled earlier today by Jeep after the carmaker discovered an issue with the clamp on the power steering fluid line. The clamp appears to be out of position and this can cause the fluid to leak. If a fluid is to interact with the hot surface of the engine, it can catch fire.
This is really dangerous hence Jeep is hoping for every Compass and Patriot owner to comply with the recall order. A total of 60,107 units are suspected to suffer from the issue and owners of the respective vehicles have been informed of the recall.
