It is finally official. Apple has sent out the all new iOS 8.1.2 for the iPhones and the update is said to fix some bugs from brought from the previous iOS while also beefing up the device’s security. Not even a day later, Taig launches an all-new jailbreak that covers the iOS 8.1.2.

The new hacker in the block revealed that the exploit used on the iOS 8.1.1 is still compatible with iOS 8.1.2, thus confirming that Apple has failed to protect their device. This also means that iPhone users will need a Windows-operated PC to apply the jailbreak.

The process is a rather simple one and it is identical to that of the iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak. Taig revealed that iPhone users are required to turn off Hide My iPhone and switch to the Airplane Mode before commencing the process.

Then, users will have to download Taig on a Windows computer with iTunes on. The following step is to perform a backup for the iPhone before connecting it to the PC. Once done, launch Taig and un-tick the second box option the moment the program recognizes the connected device.

The final step is to click on proceed and the installation should commence. Upon completion, iPhone users can unplug their device and find Cydia version 1.1.16 running on the smartphone.
