Honda CR-Z: What Ruined It

It definitely wasn’t the design that brought the Honda CR-Z down. People were impressed with what Honda had shown them when Honda first took the covers off the Honda CR-Z but interest in the vehicle started dropping the moment Honda announce the engine.

The Honda CR-Z came with a 1.5-liter hybrid engine that was offering about 130hp and 140lb ft of torque. With such a sporty looking exterior, the fans were hoping that it would be offering more. Some of them were even hoping that Honda would eventually start offering the base engine along with another more powerful option but that never happen.

After announcing that they will be killing off the Honda CR-Z in markets like Japan, Honda finally announces that the Honda CR-Z will also be taken out of the US market. Do you think the Honda CR-Z could have performed better if Honda had offered it with a different engine?
