With all the warning and death that has been reported, you would think that people would be rushing to get their airbags replaced with a safer unit but that is not the case.
Honda Malaysia has now confirmed that there has been another Takata Airbag rupture in Malaysia and this too claimed the life of the driver. According to the report, the owner of the Honda City was informed of the recall but the record showed that no repairs were done.
Of course, that does not mean that the driver is at fault here. A lot of people have reported that even though they have already received the notice, the wait for the replacement unit is extremely long. Honda would then advise users to not drive the car until it is fixed but for many that is almost impossible.
We can’t really say who is at fault here but it is clear that the whole rupturing airbag issue is not behind us yet.
