Half Life 3 Won’t Be Confirmed Until Valve Has Real Innovation

Gamers came out crawling from all corners of the internet earlier this year, attracted to the latest rumour at that time regarding Valve’s Half Life 3. It was reported that the long wait for HL3 is because Valve is planning the release on the upcoming next generation consoles, the Xbox One and PS4.

The successful gaming franchise was probably the best game around at its prime. However, it has been a long decade of silence from the developers on Half Life 3. With Microsoft and Sony’s next gen consoles almost released, will those rumours come true?

Don’t expect it to be true. What we have learnt from the first two titles is that Valve not only want to improve the quality of the game, they also want to thoroughly develop its gameplay. Yes Half Life 3 is already admitted to be in development but Valve is still doing trial-and-errors on new things to ensure the wait is worthwhile. That’s some Gabel recently hinted with tweets talking about how Valve develops games. He also added that games will continue to get delayed if there are no significant changes in its development.

It is important to be really patient on this one. A great game will definitely consume a greater deal of time. And Half Life 3 will be that game when it comes out.
