Google Nexus To Get A Little Closer To Pixel

Google has already released the new Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS for their Pixel and Nexus devices. With the update, the Nexus will now be a little closer to being a Pixel although the Pixel devices will still have the upper hand.

According to Google, the new Android 7.1.1 Nougat update will bring a few new features to the Nexus devices including the lift to wake feature as well as the double tap notification system. These two features were already available on the Pixel but the Nexus will also be getting them now. There is also the App Shortcut features which will be added to the Nexus devices as well.

Some fans were hoping that the update will also include the Google Assistant feature that the Pixel has right now but it looks like that features will continue to be exclusive to Pixel users for now.

Nexus devices that will be getting the update includes the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 9 as well as the Nexus Player.
