Google Nexus 9 are still waiting for Google to tell them when their Android 7.0 Nougat update will be arriving and so far, nobody has heard anything yet. That had lead to some people believed that the Nexus 6 might not be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat but don’t panic just yet.
Instead of the Android 7.0 Nougat, it is believed that the Google Nexus 9 might be jumping straight to the Android 7.1 Nougat. While it might be nice to skip over the first version since that is the version with the most problem, the Nexus 6 users are definitely not going to enjoy the wait.
While Google might be taking their own sweet time with the release of the Nougat OS, they did release the new security update for their Nexus devices so at least that is something.
The Google Nexus 6 was supposed to be in the same boat but luckily for them, the factory image for the new Android 7.0 Nougat was just made available on the Google website as well as OTA.
