Google Nexus 7 Android 5.0.2 Lollipop: What’s The Word?

While it was Google which put up a guideline to stop updates for Android devices that are 18 months and older, the tech giant was willing to close an eye when they promised to share the latest Android 5 Lollipop with the 2012 Google Nexus 7.

Even so, the old tablet has yet to get the Lollipop update. This is worrying for Nexus 7 users after they witnessed the newer Nexus 7 receiving the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop last week.

Well, 2012 Nexus 7 users shouldn’t feel down by this as new reports have surfaced suggesting that the device will be receiving the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop straightaway. This is definitely good news as version 5.0.2 will surely cure any problems with the latest OS, thus, giving the old Nexus 7 users a first-hand issue-free experience of the Lollipop.

This is further evident after Google posted a mysterious Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update into AOSP which hints that the Wi-Fi version of the tablet will be treated to the OS first. Unfortunately, Google failed to indicate on when the update will be rolled out but users can expect it in the coming weeks.
