Google Nexus 6: Tethering Options Returns Via Manual Tweaking

In this sad world we are living in, everything is controlled, limited and restricted through financial means. The biggest evidence is with smartphone carriers, preventing the tethering function for consumers.

This is unfortunate as smartphone users on unlimited data plans can’t use their data as and how they want to. Doing so will just cause the carrier to suffer a loss in profit.

Well, screw the carriers and their greedy desire for a mountain of gold. The rights belong to consumers and they can now bypass this limitation if they are using the Nexus 6. If you are using the latest Google smartphone and wish to share your data, you can refer to the following guide.

1. You need root access
2. Download “Root Browser” from the Play Store
3. Navigate to /System
4. Open “build.prop.” It should give you the option to open in a text editor
5. Add “net.tethering.noprovisioning=tru” at the bottom – without quotations.
6. Reboot and enjoy

The method above has been tested with Sprint and Verizon with great success. The results should be the same for Nexus 6 users on T-Mobile and AT&T. With that being said, do not hesitate to apply the method above and restore your rights to tether now!
