Ford Replaces Microsoft With BlackBberry

Ford are moving on from Microsoft and from now on they will be using Blackberry instead to produce the Sync 3.

Although Microsoft will still be doing the updates for the Sync 3, the Blackberry QNX will be used to run it. From now on any updates will be made by Blackberry but still held over at Microsoft’s Azure Cloud servers and then be moved accross to the Sync 3 system.

Also, Microsoft are solely responsible for letting the Sync 3 have access to WiFi connectivity. At the moment Sync 3 is already in its final development staes, and is predicted to be coming out next year.

It has been said that the whole MyFord Touch system will be replaced by a new infotainment system which will make its first appearance on the 2016 Lincoln and Ford vehicles.
