Ford Escape: Ford’s Most Frequently Recalled SUV

Once again, Ford have announced a recall on their Ford Escape. This most recent recall is going to be the 11th recall the company have made for the model due to a whole number of issues.

This happened after Focus ST owners took to the FocusST.org.forums to complain about their cars stalling.

The most recent issue is to do with the wiring and apparently may affect the Ford Focus as well. Due to the wiring problem, Ford is going to recall a total of 160,000 Ford Escapes and Ford STS, as Reuters reported that the issue can affect how the engine works and make it stall.

The vehicles in question are run on a 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine which is the only engine for the Ford ST, but an optional engine for the Escape.

The previous recall involved the 1.6 liter EcoBoost engine that had a risk of going up in flames. According to Ford, the problem has not caused any injuries and crashes so far.
