Ford Brings Out The Big Guns To Take Down Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

Dodge and their Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat have been enjoying their position as the top performance model in the muscle car segment but it looks like Ford plans to claim that title for themselves now.

It was reported that Ford might be working on a new Ford Mustang extreme version. The new version, which is believed to be the Shelby GT500 or the Mach 1 will sit on top of the GTA350R.

MotorAuthority believes that have spotted the prototype in action. If that is true, we might see a real Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat challenger real soon. It is believed that the powerful Mustang will come in as a 2018 model which means we might be seeing it at the end of this year or maybe next year.

There are talks that the Mustang could be powered by a 5.2 liter V8 engine that will be mated to a 10-speed auto transmission.
