FIFA 14 Is Poor In So Many Ways

EA certainly scored big when it managed to produce the world’s official football game. Being the most popular sports around, EA automatically gets a huge population of football fans playing FIFA 14. However, the game developer might have been leeching for profits instead of giving the ultimate FIFA experience. Here are 5 reasons why.

For starters, EA Sports introduced an improved physics in FIFA 14. In spite of that, the fact that players keep on tripping over one another is a huge turnoff. To make things worse, it is not easy to get up from a fall.

Then there is the weather. Most players like to keep it real by setting the weather at random. It is unsure if EA does not understand the meaning of random or they simply prefer a downpour. Majority of the matches played are in rain apparently.

Next is with the AI in Player Career Mode. Just when you wish for your creation to shine, your AI controlled teammates always had this idea that there are only 10-men in their team. The player will have difficulties to make a name for himself.

Following that is with FIFA 14’s referee. It seems that the refs like to side with the opponent. Instead of the traditional black uniform, the refs are always wearing a colour similar, if not, close to the opponent.

Finally is the Tournament Mode which is omitted from FIFA 14. This is a must-have feature as it has been around since the first FIFA game came out. We have no idea what EA Sports was thinking to remove such a prestigious mode. Popularity aside, it is what made FIFA, well, FIFA.

All in all, FIFA 14 has been lackluster. Idea was there but execution was poor. EA better get serious with the next sequel or risk facing the stick from the fans.
