Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster Was Never On The Table

Some fans were not too happy that Bethesda has decided to choose their latest Elder Scroll game to remaster instead of some of the older installment like Oblivion. While some think that it was because Skyrim had a bigger fanbase, it looks like Oblivion was never on the table, to begin with.

According to Pete Hines, the marketing boss of Bethesda, they looked at Oblivion and saw how much they will have to do to remaster the game. He added that it was possible but it would take up a lot of time.

He added that Oblivion was never considered because it would they would rather spend the time working on a new game than remaster the 10-year-old game. At the end of the day, it only came down to remaster Skyrim or making a new game and we know what they have decided.

Based on that, it looks like the older Elder Scrolls game like Morrowind and Oblivion will most likely never get a remaster.
