E3: New Game, Dreadnought, Announced By Spec Ops: The Line Developer

Developer of Spec Ops: The Line, Yager, has recently announced their upcoming game called Dreadnought which will be a PC-exclusive. The game will feature large-scale space battleship wars between players. Each player will have to be able to manage all of his spaceship systems and tweak them to suit his fighting style.

Dreadnought lets you take the role of a space mercenary and you have to make your way to glory through fighting other mercenaries in “a galaxy of chaos,” Yager explains. The game’s main gameplay will require you to know how to manage your ship, be able to stabilize all of your ship’s systems, manage its weapons and crew.

“Commanders will assume complete control, dedicating power to specific sub-systems, customizing weapons, engines, armor, abilities, crew and their ships’ aesthetics.” the developer says

“We all have that dream of sitting in the Captain’s Chair,” Tony Medrano of Grey Box says in the press release. “It’s an awesome feeling to control something so huge and powerful, and that feeling is present in Dreadnought. Our goal is to nurture that feeling at all costs by working with players to fulfill the creation of their dream armada.”

Grey Box is responsible for publishing the game while Yager will be the game’s developer.

Dreadnought will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and it is expected to be available for “public testing” in early 2015.
