Chevrolet Corvette Performance Upgrade Won’t Even Help

The Chevrolet Corvette is a powerful model but it is still far from actually challenging some of the other top performance models like the Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger.

It has been reported that Chevrolet might be looking to upgrade the Chevrolet Corvette so that it can deliver more ponies but even with the upgrade, the Corvette will have problem taking on the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger.

New reports are suggesting that Chevrolet might be working on a new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 model that will come with an upgraded engine. The engine on the ZR1 will deliver about 700hp, 50hp more than the current Corvette.

As amazing as that is, the Mustang is not feeling the heat as all. The Ford Mustang GT500 will be coming with an 800hp engine. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, on the other hand, comes with a 707hp engine. Chevrolet might have to try harder than that if they want to make an impact.
