BMW M5 & M6 Can’t Keep Its Rear In Control [Recall]

An issue with the driveshaft of both the BMW M5 and the BMW M6 will force BMW to issue a recall to get the problem looked at and fix.

According to NHTSA, the driveshaft on the BMW M5 and M6 which were not welded properly could lead to the driveshaft fracturing or fail. If that happen, the rear wheels will lose its power. NHTSA also added that the vehicles might roll when the car is turned off if the driver forgets to apply the parking brake.

A total of 956 units of the BMW M5 and M6 will be affected. Those affected includes the BMW M5 that was made fro the 4th of September 2014 until the 3rd of December 2014 as well as the BMW M6 Coupes that were made from the 3rd of September 2014 to the 4th of December 2014. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe sedan made from the 3rd of September 2014 until the 4th of December 2014 will also be affected.
