BlackBerry Z3 vs Sony Xperia M2: Which Is Better?

Sony has made it clear that they will launch new smartphones as and when they are ready. The Japanese company has stopped following the annual release trend and adopted an approach similar to Blackberry.

As a result, Sony releases the Xperia M2 and similarly, the Blackberry Z3 was launched. Both devices are built to offer the perfect balance between value and power.

The M2, in particular, comes with a 4.8” TFT display that produces 229ppi. This is a hair better than the 220ppi that is offered by the Z3’s 5” IPS LCD display. Both devices are built with plastic but it appears that the Z3 is the better-looking device.

In terms of processors, there is no way to split the duo as both devices runs on the same 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor. The Z3 is slightly faster thanks to its 1.5GB RAM, which is more than the 1GB offered by the Xperia M2. Again, both devices are on equal footing as they offer the same 8GB internal storage and microSD support of up to 32GB.

The Sony Xperia M2 fared better in the photography department as the device is built with an 8MP rear camera and VGA front shooter. The Z3 might fall behind with its 5MP rear camera but it is a better device for selfies thanks to its 1.1MP front shooter.

It is hard to single out a winner in this comparison as both the Sony Xperia M2 and the Blackberry Z3 are too similar to each other. It is all down to users’ preferences on whether they prefer to use the Android system, or the Blackberry OS. What is your pick?
