Apple Watch: Can It Satisfy Fitness Freaks?

Apple launched the Apple Watch and while it might have some great looks you do have to ask yourself whether it will be able to satisfy fitness freaks in the gym? So does it offer what is needed or is it just a very expensive piece of jewellery?

On the Apple Watch you can store up to 2GB of music. This means that you don’t have to mess about taking an iPod or the iPhone with you when you are at the gym. If you wear the watch you can listen to your music directly from it via Bluetooth headphones. Of course the watch doesn’t have GPS on it and this means that unless you take the phone with you, you aren’t going to be able to track your run outside of the gym.

On the plus side you can monitor your heart rate with the watch along with the amount of calories that you have burned, the distance that you travelled and more and you don’t need the phone.

So if you want to keep an eye on the amount of calories that you burn along with your heart rate and you want to listen to music while you are out running or you are at the gym, the Apple Watch does that. It is only let down by the fact that it lacks GPS so you can’t actually track your run or the distance you cycle.
