2018 Mazda CX-5 Answers With CX-9

One of the main issue that people seem to have with the Mazda CX-5 right now is that the engine feels a little underpowered. The consumers seem to like the fact that it is fuel efficient but a lot of them were hoping that Mazda would do something about its performance.

While Mazda never really did reveal whether they will be upgrading the Mazda CX-5 engine or not, we know that they do have an engine ready if they do decide to improve the performance of the Mazda CX-5.

When Mazda showed off the Mazda CX-9, they also announce a new engine. According to Mazda, the engine seen under the hood of the Mazda CX-9 was made to be compact and small enough so that they can fit it into the other Mazda model. No specific models were mention but with rumors about Mazda looking to push the Mazda CX-5 into the premium market surfacing, we think there is a possibility that we might see the 2018 model come with this new engine.

We also know that it will be coming with an exterior upgrade for 2018 as well.
