2018 GMC Terrain: Farewell To 3.6L V6

The GMC Terrain was in need of an upgrade and luckily, that is exactly what GM is doing right now. The 2018 GMC Terrain will be coming in as an all-new model and while we are happy to hear that, we will also be a little sad to see the 3.6 liter V6 go.

The 2018 GMC Terrain will be coming in with a new exterior design but that is not the only thing that is new here. THE 3.6 liter V6 engine will no longer be offered. Instead, the 2018 model will come with three other engine options, a 1.5-liter base engine, a 2.0 liter inline four engine as well as a 1.6-liter diesel engine. The gasoline engine will be fitted with a nine-speed auto transmission while the diesel engine will be fitted with a six-speed auto transmission.

On the inside, the GMC Terrain will now come with a 7.0-inch center display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. It will also be fitted with safety features like surround vision camera system, Safety Alert Seat, forward-collision alert, low-speed forward automatic braking, lane-keep assist and more.

The 2018 GMC Terrain will be making its debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.
