2017 Smart ForTwo Cabrio: Cheap But Unwanted

Technically, the new 2017 Smart ForTwo Cabrio is one of the cheapest new convertible in the market right now but that does not mean that people will be lining up to get one.

It might be cheap but it is still a Smart ForTwo. With the limited interior space and unappealing engine, most people would rather go for a used convertible like the Mazda MX-5 which will be cheap and more fun to drive.

The 2017 Smart ForTwo Cabrio will be coming in with a 1.0 liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that will be mated to a manual transmission. There is also a six-speed dual clutch transmission option. The Smart ForTwo Cabrio will be delivering about 89hp and 100lb ft of torque. According to Smart, the vehicle will need 10.4 seconds to go from 0-60mph.

The topless model with the manual transmission will retail for $18,900 while the auto transmission model will retail for $19,890.
