A lot of Porsche fans thought that the Porsche 911 GTS was doomed when Porsche announce that they were going to replace the standard engine with a new turbo engine but it looks like things might not be as bad they think.

Porsche fans were worried that Porche will eventually upgrade the engine to a new Turbo engine and their fears came to live when Porsche announce their plans for the 2017 model. The 2017 Porsche 911 GTS will be fitted with a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged six cylinder engine. The same engine was also fitted onto the Carrera S and that engine offered about 420hp. Not only will the Porsche 911 GTS has more ponies to offer now but there were also talks about Porsche considering the six-speed manual transmission as well which should help soothe the pain they cause with the turbo engine.
