2017 Opel Monza SUV Won’t Be True To Its Concept!

Last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show unveiled many interesting concept and the Opel Monza is one of the most attractive of them all. The SUV sports a shooting brake body style and is powered by an electric motor paired to a 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbocharged engine CNG range extender.

Then again, Opel has no plans on creating the concept in the near future. Instead, the German carmaker will be producing a large SUV that will also be called the Monza.

The vehicle is revealed to be coming in 2017 and will retail at $35,906. While the Monza might be a totally different vehicle form the concept, it will still come with some similar features. Things like the headlights and chrome grille will be brought forward from the old Monza concept.

Under the hood, the large SUV is expected to be powered by an engine sourced from Insignia. Opel will be producing the Monzo at the Russelsheim plant and will be looking to reveal more details next year.
