2017 Mazda 6 Won’t Be Getting Any Help From Big Brother

Mazda is looking to upgrade the Mazda 6 soon and with the Mazda CX-9 now coming in with a new engine, most people assume that the Mazda 6 will be getting some help from the CX-9 in terms of engine and performance but it looks like it will not.

The Mazda CX-9 will be coming in with a new engine that Mazda said was made so that it will be able to fit into some of their other models. According to Mazda, models like the Mazda 3, Mazda 6 and Mazda CX-5 can be fitted with the engine but that does not mean that it will be happening right now.

There is still a possibility for the Mazda 3 but it is just too late for the Mazda 6. Fitting the new engine in would means that they will need to spend them upgrading and modifying it and they just done have the time to do that right now.

The new engine is a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine that will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission and will be offering about 227hp and 310lb ft of torque.
