2017 Mazda 6: Running Android Auto Without Mazda

Based on what Mazda is working on right now, it is clear that their customers will have to wait for a very long time before they see the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay update in their Mazda. In fact, there is currently no plans for Mazda to offer those support at all.

However, things are not as bleak if you are an Android Auto user as Google has already announced that the Android Auto app will be available on the PlayStore. Android users can now download it and use it from their smartphone.

When the app was first released, the OK Google feature was still unavailable but Google has since released an update for the app and now, users won’t have to manually tap on the microphone to use the voice command feature anymore.

The app will work with any Android device that is running on the Android 5.0 OS and above.
