2017 Jeep Wrangler: Cherokee Forced To Make Way

We know that FCA is now working on upgrading the Jeep Wrangler Toledo plant so that it will be able to produce the new Jeep Wrangler and also produce enough so that there is enough to go around.

To make that happen, Jeep had to make sure their Toledo plant focuses more on cranking out the Jeep Wrangler and because of that , the Jeep Cherokee was pushed out of the Toledo plant. It was initially predicted that the Jeep Wrangler would be moved to another plant but it looks like the Jeep Cherokee is the one that is going to move out.

After the upgrade, the plant will be able to crank out 450,000 units of Jeep annually although it will only be cranking out 350,000. The rest of the plant will be working on the upcoming Jeep Wrangler base pickup truck.

Many Jeep fans are now saying that Jeep’s action indicated that they might be favoring the Jeep Wrangler over the Jeep Cherokee.
