2017 Hyundai Ioniq Electric: Ready For Leaf & Bolt Upset

As with all electric cars now, it is all about the electric range of the vehicle and the price of the vehicle. Most people believe that this year would be the year for the Nissan Leaf or Chevrolet Bolt but with Hyundai now revealing some new details about the Hyundai Ioniq, the Leaf and Bolt might have to make way.

According to Hyundai, the new Hyundai Ioniq Electric should be offering about 135miles in the city and 110miles on the higher which is equivalent to about 124miles on average.

We know that the Nissan Leaf only offers about 107miles now while the Chevrolet Bolt will be offering a lot more, it comes with a price. The Hyundai Ioniq base model will retail for $29,500 while the Chevrolet Bolt will retail for $35k.

In fact, the Nissan Leaf is also more expensive than the Ioniq despite its weak powertrain. The Nissan Leaf currently retails for $30.7k.

The new Hyundai Ioniq Electric will be arriving here in April this year while the Hybrid model should be arriving a little later in the Summer.
