2017 Honda CR-V: Taking Design Tips From Civic, Ignores Pilot

There is not a whole lot of details about the upcoming new 2017 Honda CR-V but new spy shots of the CR-V did reveal the design direction that Honda will be taking.

Earlier reports suggest that Honda will be getting a new design based on the popular Honda Pilot but the spy shots reveal that instead of the Pilot, the Honda CR-V will be design based on the Honda Civic. The grille, taillight, and headlight design all seem to match what we have seen on the Civic. The rest of the vehicle was heavily covered with camo stickers.

If the CR-V does take one the Civic design, it will most likely be riding on the Civic platform as well and will most likely be running on the 1.5 liter VTEC engine and 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine.

There were also talks about Honda thinking about offering the Honda CR-V with a hybrid option to take on the Toyota RAV4 hybrid. The new 2018 Honda CR-V should be making its debut at the LA Auto show.
