2017 Honda CR-V Is More Civic & Less Pilot

The Honda CR-V were always made to look more matured but it looks like Honda is finally realizing that that is not going to work anymore. While it was initially predicted that the Honda CR-V would come with a new design that will be based on the new Pilot, it looks like that is not going to happen now.

New spy shots of the upcoming Honda CR-V reveal that instead of the Honda Pilot, the new Honda CR-V will be getting a new design that is based on the Honda Civic. Although the test model was covered in camo stickers, some of the Civic-like features like the grille, headlight and taillight can still be seen.

The Honda CR-V will not only be taking design cues from the Honda Civic but it will also be riding on the same Civic platform. Under the hood is probably the 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine or the 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine.

With the Honda CR-V now adopting a more playful and younger design, will it appeal more to the younger buyers?
