The Honda Pilot might have gotten a lot of attention when it was released but it looks like Honda felt that the new Honda Civic design would end up benefitting the Honda CR-V more than the Honda Pilot.
We knew that the CR-V would be based on the Honda Civic after a few spy shot surface online. Some of the CR-V features like the new grille and headlights all seems to match what we saw on the Honda Civic.
Not only will be the new Honda CR-V be coming with the Honda Civic design but it will also be sharing the same platform as well as the same engine option. The current Honda Civic comes in with a 1.5 liter VTEC engine. There is also a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine option.
The Honda CR-V should be making an appearance at the LA Auto Show later this year.
