2017 Honda CR-V Ends Up Going For Civic, Not Pilot

Based on the spy shots we have seen of the Honda CR-V, it looks like Honda will be designing the Honda CR-V based on the Honda Civic and not the Honda Pilot like in the rumors.

It was thought that Honda would be giving the CR-V a new design based on the Honda Pilot but in some of the latest spy shots, it is clear that the Honda CR-V will be coming in with a Civic grille, Civic taillight as well as the Civic headlights. The rest of the vehicles were heavily covered in camo stickers so we can’t really make out the other details.

If the Honda CR-V does come with a new design that is based on the Honda Civic, it is highly possible that the Honda CR-V will be riding on the Civic platform. It is also believed that the Honda CR-V will be powered by a 1.;5 liter VTEC engine as well as a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine.

The new 2017 Honda CR-V should be making its debut at the LA Auto Show.
