2017 GMC Canyon: GM Looking To Split The Siblings

GM has just announced the update for the Chevrolet Colorado model and now they are revealing the changes that they will be making on the 2017 GMC Canyon model.

Like the Chevrolet Colorado, the GMC Canyon will also be getting the same engine upgrade. That means that the 2017 GMC Canyon will now b fitted with a 3.6 liter V6 engine that will be mated to an eight-speed auto transmission. Some of the changes that they made to the engine includes the variable valve timing, Active Fuel Management and improve direct injection. The upgrade should help improve the performance and fuel efficiency of the GMC Canyon. The engine will allow the vehicle to deliver about 305hp to 308hp.

Besides getting a new engine, the GMC Canyon will also come with two new trim option, the All Terrain X, and the Denali trim which might help give it a slight advantage over the Colorado if their customers don’t mind the extra chromes.

The GMC Canyon will also come with three new exterior colors, Red Quartz Metallic, Mineral Metallic, and Dark Slate Metallic.
