2017 Ford Focus EV: Ford Downplaying it

The current Ford Focus EV could offer about 75miles on a single charge and according to Ford, the Ford Focus EV will only be getting a slight upgrade from the current model but it looks like that is not the case.

A new report by Inside EVs suggests that the 2017 Ford Focus EV might be offering a lot more range than the current model. Instead of offering just 75miles, it is believed that the Ford Focus EV will be offering about 110miles when the 2017 model arrives.

Of course, 110miles of range is not the best the market has to offer but it is a huge upgrade by Ford since the current model delivers a miserable 75miles. The 110miles range will put the Focus EV right in the path of the Hyundai Ioniq Electric as well as the Nissan Leaf.

The new range was made possible thanks to the new 33.5kwh battery pack that the 2017 Ford Focus EV will be coming with.
