2017 Ford F-150 Raptor: Turbo Did Not Make It Softer

Ford decision to turn the Ford F-150 Raptor into a turbo-powered model did not sit well with a lot of their fans. Their fans felt like they were losing the Ford F-150 Raptor if Ford replaced it with the turbo engine but is that really the case here?

With the turbo engine in place, the Ford F-150 Raptor will not sound as loud and tough as the previous model since turbo engines usually have a muffled sound but that does not mean that the F-150 Raptor is softer now.

In fact, if you look at the new numbers, the Ford F-150 Raptor is actually better now. The turbocharged engine will allow the Ford F-150 Turbo to return about 450hp and 510lb ft of torque, a significant jump from the previous model.

It is also a lot more fuel efficient now returning about 15mpg in the city and 18mpg on the highway. An upgrade from the previous model.
