2017 Chevrolet Colorado Might Follow Chevy Volt Abroad

The Chevrolet Volt seems to be doing fine in China and it looks like Chevrolet is already planning to send a few more models over to stand alongside the Chevrolet Volt.

Chevrolet announces that they will be offering both their Chevrolet Silverado and Chevrolet Colorado in China through a parallel import program. Parallel imports are basically gray market material but some countries like China do encourage practices like this.

The trucks will be heading to China early next year but we still do not know how much Chevrolet plans to sell it for although we are not expecting it to be cheap.

The Chevrolet Silverado is currently powered by a 284hp engine that will return about 18mpg in the city and 24mpg on the highway. There is also a 420hp option for those looking for more power.

The Chevrolet Colorado is currently powered by a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine that will return about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. A 2.8 liter 4 cylinder diesel engine and a 3.6 liter V6 engine is also being offered.
