2016 Google Nexus Sailfish & Marlin Won’t Get Rooters Support

We know that Google will be releasing two Nexus smartphones this year and that both these models will be made by HTC. Based on the details we have now, the Nexus Sailfish and Marlin are turning out to be a really tough contender. However, no matter how amazing it is going to be, the rooters will still not support the new Nexus devices.

The Nexus devices have always been a rooters go-to smartphone mainly because it comes running on the stock android and it is usually the first to get all the software updates from Google.

However, with the new safety system in place, the new Nexus Sailfish and Marlin will be useless to the rooters. According to Google, their new Android 7.0 Nougat will come with a new safety feature that will stop the device from booting up if it detects that it is being corrupted.

They also added that the system will only be available if the device comes with a locked bootloader so it is still possible for rooters to root the new Nougat OS, they just can’t do it with the Nexus.
