2015 Nissan X-Trail Launched With New Looks!

The recent Indonesia International Motor Show became the launching party for the third generation Nissan X-Trail. The mid-size SUV was assembled in Cikampek, West Java, and it is only fitting for Nissan to launch the vehicle in the nation.

At a glance, the next-gen X-Trail looks so much like the Qashqai. Heck, one can easily call it an oversized variant of the latter. The similarities between the X-Trail and the Qashqai include the V-Motion grille, slim headlights, D-pillar kink, C-shaped tail lights and many more.

Inside the vehicle, the X-Trail has a design that is identical to the latest Teana. The only difference is that the former has an additional third row seats that can only accommodate children due to its small space.

The X-Trail is offered with two four-cylinder petrol engine choices. First is a MR20DD 2L mill that offers 171PS and 233Nm. The second is identified to be a 2.5L MPI motor that offers 171PS and 233Nm. Both mills come with the Xtronic CVT transmission. The MR20DD engine, however, got an additional option of a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The X-Trail is packed with all the latest automotive features such as LED running lights, full-LED headlamps, auto wipers, heated door mirrors, keyless entry, push-button start, power-operated front seats, an Around View Monitor and an ECO mode switch, leather seats, cruise control and dual-climate-zone. Of course, the features vary on every trim level.

Safety isn’t an issue for the SUV as it comes packed with ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Start Assist, Active Trace Control and Active Engine Braking.

Nissan announced that the X-Trail will be retailing from IRP383 million and prices are capped at IRP 431.5 million for the 2.5L model.
