2015 Honda Accord Facelift Taking Inspirations From Civic Type-R

The recent Beijing Auto Show unveiled many interesting vehicles and among them is the DongFang Spirior. While it might not get much attention like other vehicles, the Spirior is a big clue if you are a fan of the Accord.

This is because of the fact that the Spirior is actually the Accord built for the Chinese market. The model which was brought on the Beijing Auto Show was built by both Honda and DongFang. It is the Spirior Facelift and also the biggest hint to the Accord Facelift that is due to arrive next year.

When viewing the Concept, we noticed that the front portion is heavily influenced by the Honda Civic Type-R. Honda described it as a “significant advancements in exterior design, dynamic performance and technologies as well as safety features”.

Under the hood, the Spirior Facelift is powered by a 2.4 liter direct injection four cylinder gasoline engine paired with an 8 speed DCT transmission. We can expect the same motor to run on the upcoming Accord Facelift as well.

Other features that are spotted on the Spirior are lane departure warning, blind spot display system and head-up display.
