Here in China, Dongfang has already confirmed that the Spirior will be getting a facelift next year, based on the concept seen at the recent Beijing Auto Show. This is particularly important if you are a fan of the Accord as the Spirior is the rebadged Accord that is built with Honda for the Chinese market.
If there is anything we can learn from the Spirior Facelift, it is that it looks a lot like the upcoming Civic Type-R. Honda didn’t shy away from this fact and they claimed that the Facelift will possess “significant advancements in exterior design, dynamic performance and technologies along with safety features” from their other vehicles.
Under the hood, the Spirior Facelift will run on the 2. 4 liter direct injection four cylinder gas engine mated to an 8-speed DCT transmission. Other features include head-up show, blind spot show and lane departure
Come next year, Honda will be giving the Accord a facelift of its own and we could possibly see a carbon copy of the Spirior.
