2015 Apple MacBook Pro: Broadwell vs Skylake

It is no secret that Intel is currently developing their first ever 14nm nanochips and it is going to be known as Skylake. Intel has already revealed that Skylake is going to be ready for a release somewhere in late June. Hence, there is a chance for it to power the next-gen MacBook Pro.

Then again, the 2015 Apple MacBook Pro is expected to get unveiled at WWDC next month, with Skylake not ready yet, Apple will obviously be sticking to the Broadwell nanochips that were launched earlier this year.

Of course, it is still not too late for Apple to reconsider the nanochips for the next-gen MacBook Pro. While unlikely to happen, the Cupertino-based company can simply delay MacBook Pro’s unveiling until early July so that consumers can see Intel’s Skylake in action.

Being newer, it is pretty obvious that Skylake is better than Broadwell. The new technology basically has a faster processing speed and better energy management. Let’s just hope Apple opts for Skylake over Broadwell for the Apple MacBook Pro.
