2014 Honda HR-V Mugen Is For The Racer Boy

Honda has made its debut in the B-segment SUV after unleashing the all-new HR-V. At a glance, the car looks like a two-door hot hatchback but its size puts it in the SUV segment. The HR-V went public at the JI Expo in Jakarta and it comes in two different variants.

There is the HR-V Mugen and the HR-V Modulo. The former has some insane design which looks as if the car belongs on the track. The latter, on the other hand, looks like an average B-segment SUV with the hallmark Honda designs.

The Mugen model, in particular, singlehandedly stole the show. It comes with widebody extensions and super elaborate flower-spoke wheels. Also, there is the colourful body stripes that made us forget about Herbie.

As insane as it looks, the Mugen doesn’t have anything over-the-top under its hood. The car runs on the 139 PS/169 Nm 1.8 CVT engine that is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Other features include electric parking brake, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, dual airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Ultra Seats, auto air con, keyless entry with push start, cruise control, shift paddles and leather seats. There are three trims to choose from and they are A, S and E.
