Samsung Galaxy S3 Resolution Leaked, Not HD After All?

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has already been pegged to become the flagship Android smartphone of 2012 despite no one really knowing anything about its hardware. However given that the Samsung Galaxy S2 was such a success and never failed to impress users, high expectations have been set for its successor, the Galaxy S3.

Samsung Galaxy S3 resolution below HD?

Now, new details have supposedly come to light via a leaked UAProf (User Agent Profile) for the Galaxy S3. According to the leaked document, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will likely pack a screen resolution of 1024 x 600. At first look, this seems pretty high in addition to the mentioned true 16:9 ratio for its display. What this translates to is a slightly more elongated form factor compared to what we are accustomed too. However based on resolution count, it does not come near High Definition standards yet.

So while Samsung may be ahead of other brands when it comes to HDTV screen technology, we may not see the Samsung Galaxy S3 get so lucky. Of course, these are just rumors so we will need to take this information with a grain of salt.

On a side note, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will supposedly be announced sometime in May, however no word on when it will actually go on sale in the US and which carriers will pick it up (all likely).
