First Pictures Of Redesigned iPad 3 With 8-Megapixel Camera Leaked On To The Web?

With word on the street suggesting that the Apple iPad 3 will launch on March 7th, followed by a release in stores within only a couple of days, all eyes are on the blogosphere for hopes that some minute details of what to expect from Apple next month will eventually surface.

Purported iPad 3 pictures leaked, suggest 8-megapixel camera

Earlier this month we saw supposed iPad 3 leaked pictures showcasing a higher-resolution Retina Display. Now, new images have been published by Apple Daily which purportedly show the iPad 3 and reveal more information.

For starters, a quick glance at the images show that the iPad may have a more gradual taper leading from the back to the edges. Apple Daily also added that it will have a 9.7-inch Retina Display, and an 8-megapixel camera similar to that found on the current iPhone 4S. unfortunately there are no details as to whether it will sport a quad-core processor or 4G LTE connectivity as expected.

On a side note, word on the street is that Apple may release a smaller iPad variant as well or possibly price the iPad 2 at a lower level and continue production for it through the year as a means to compete with lower cost tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
