While Acer is a fair way behind other manufacturers when it comes to producing Android smartphones, their latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone whic is expected to launch at MWC 2012 later this month may change the minds of Android fans altogether.

Acer CloudMobile Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone headed to MWC 2012

Called the Acer CloudMobile, the smartphone has already won the 2012 iF Design Award for recognition of outstanding achievement in design. So what makes this Acer Android 4.0 phone so handsome? Read on and check out the images below.

Measuring in at less than 1cm in thickness, it uses a new design language Acer has dubbed “Sleeve DNA”. As SlashGear explains, this “includes comfortable wrapping contours, soft and smooth for a great experience in the hand. This device also features a stainless steel reciever on the front, a fabulous Dolby speaker plate on the back, and tiny perforation that bring a tactile experience to such tiny details as the volume button.”

Up front the Acer CloudMobile boasts a 4.3-inch HD display that is fully laminated and wrapped by a very narrow bezel. Now we have to say that we are excited with the design of this new Android Ice Cream Sandwich phone as much as we were with the Nokia Lumia 800 and can’t wait to see it in the flesh come February 27th at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain!
