While the Samsung Galaxy S3 won’t be making its debut at MWC 2012 later this month, that doesn’t mean that the Galaxy name will stay out of the shadows. In fact, we will be seeing an enhanced version of the original Samsung Galaxy S2 in Canada sometime in “early Q2”.
AT&T Skyrocket HD headed to Canada as the Samsung Galaxy S2 HD
The details come via MobileSyrup who state that the AT&T Skyrocket HD will be headed up north as just the S2 HD. Now if you’re late to the party and aren’t clear on the Skyrocket HD, let us recap its specs:
For starters it is bigger than the Galaxy S2 with its 4.65-inch screen and 1280×720 pixel resolution. Under the hood, its processor is also a little faster – 1.5GHZ dual-core versus the 1.2GHz on the standard Samsung Galaxy S2. Other features include LTE, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, front-facing camera for video calls and NFC support.
Expect this to cost above $200 with the standard 3-year contract. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
