While the hype behind the Samsung Galaxy S3 is arguably big enough to overshadow all other rumored Android smartphones, there is one in particular that is slowly gaining as much attention as the famed Samsung phone – the HTC Zeta.

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC Zeta specs (rumors)

Expected to be locked in a quad-core battle with the Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC will need to bring its A-game if it wants to stand above the pack and not end up being overshadowed as was the case with the HTC Rezound when it went up against the Motorola RAZR and Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Now not much is known about the HTC Zeta or Samsung Galaxy S3 however word on the street suggests both will be quad-core smartphones and come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich preloaded. The Samsung Galaxy S3 however is rumored to have the upperhand in the area of weight (it’s lighter), camera (12-megapixel), LTE, NFC and a larger battery (2,250mAh).

The HTC Zeta on the other hand is tipped to have a faster clocked processor (2.5GHz quad-core).

Both smartphones will purportedly have nearly the same size display (4.5-inch on the HTC Zeta and 4.6-inch on the Samsung Galaxy S3). As for a launch date, we know that the Samsung Galaxy S3 won’t debut at MWC 2012 later this month but there is still hope for the HTC Zeta to do so. More details at the source.
