While Samsung has gone ahead and confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be skipping the Mobile World Congress event on February 27 in Barcelona, Spain, it hasn’t slowed down the flow of news and rumors about the year’s most anticipated Android smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S III to match Motorola DROID RAZR 7mm-thin profile
Now the latest insider tip comes from South Korean sources how suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be 7mm thick just like the Motorola DROID RAZR. It will apparently have a slight bump in its profile to accommodate for the 8-megapixel rear camera.
Now if you thought that the ultra-slim profile would mean an absence of certain features (e.g. NFC chip, LTE antennas) then you will be gladly mistaken as the source states it will come equipped with all of this as well as a 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calls and full HD video recording.
No word on what size battery will be running under the hood however with its slim profile, we may see a non user-replaceable battery just like the DROID RAZR. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
