[PICS] BlackBerry 10 Superphone: Mini-PlayBook, Runs Android Apps?

It has only been a week since new RIM CEO Thorsten Heins is at the helm and we not have a new, intriguing device leak. Called the BlackBerry London, this BB superphone is believed to be the first to run BB10 (the next-generation QNX based OS that is suppose to take BlackBerry to a whole new level).

Now at first glance you will notice how the BlackBerry London doesn’t really look like other BlackBerry phones but instead an Android. Yup, that black slab of a phone looks an awful lot like a DROID X despite criticism from Heins that how Android hardware “all looks the same.”

Furthermore, given that it is using a lot of the same code from the BlackBerry PlayBook, we could very well see the BlackBerry London run Android apps via the Runtime for Android Applications feature found in Playbook OS 2.0.

If anything, this looks like a mini PlayBook and that isn’t a bad thing after all. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
