Verizon HTC Rezound Android Update Out: Good & Bad Features

Verizon Wireless has gone ahead and announced today the rollout of the latest update for the HTC Rezound. Now this isn’t the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update we’ve been waiting for but it does have its benefits.

Verizon HTC Rezound update now available (not Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich)

The HTC Rezound update which will be fired out OTA during the next few days brings about a number of fixes mainly to do with call quality and stability. The update is being delivered over the air during the next few days.

Now there are of course other subtle differences that you will notice in your HTC Rezound after the update. Having one myself and already receiving the update, I noticed that they added a button in the dialer to hide the keyboard. The calculator also appears to employ a different font now which looks better.

In addition to the above much welcomed changes, we have received reports from readers that they are noticing a process called Verizon Location Services that’s running in the background. I can’t recall if this was there before but word has it that it may be a battery hog and is a means for Verizon to collect user data.

Are there any other new features you found after the HTC Rezound update? If so then sound off in the comments below! We’ll keep you posted as we find more.
